Dr. Margee Levy received her Bachelor’s Degree in biology at SUNY Geneseo and her DVM at The University of Florida (Go Gators!) in 2005. She completed an internship in medicine and surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.
Originally from Long Island, NY, Dr. Margee now lives in East Greenwich, RI with her three amazing kids. Her current furry family members are all courtesy of The Potter League in Middletown, RI, where she has worked and volunteered over the past 6 years. The most recent additions are two bunnies (Floopy and Zeus) that join Beatrice, a 17 year old rescue, Eddie (aka Goose) and her baby- Daisy a 1 year old ball of feline fluff.
Dr. Margee has extensive experience in emergency and critical care medicine and has worked with many species in wildlife medicine and rehabilitation. General practice has allowed for such rewarding relationships between families and their furry ones. Dr. Margee’s clinical interests include ophthalmology, histology and especially geriatric medicine- allowing our older pets to live out their golden years with happiness, comfort and dignity.
In her spare time, Dr. Margee enjoys hiking, vegetarian cooking, searching for beach glass and keeping up with endless softball, baseball and basketball games!
A COVID-19 note from Dr. Levy: I’m so sorry that I can’t meet with you in person during these difficult times. I look forward to meeting you and discussing how we can work together to ensure the best care for your pets.
Since I haven’t been interacting with ya’ll in the professional environment, my tweenage girls decided it would be fun to dye my hair lavender....so I’m now the doctor with the purple hair
