Dr. Mary Boy

Dr. Boy grew up in Southeastern New Hampshire and received a BA in Microbiology and MS in Animal Science from the University of New Hampshire in Durham. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987, then completed a Large Animal Surgery Internship at Cornell University in 1988, and a Residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Following completion of her residency, she was a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania and Internist at Delaware Equine Center; she became board certified in Large Animal Internal Medicine by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1994. Dr. Boy worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 25 years, first running clinical trials for dog and cat pharmaceuticals followed by work in human clinical trials where she held a variety of positions, always with a focus on clinical safety of new drugs in humans.  She was involved in the development programs and approvals of several veterinary drugs as well as human drugs.  Dr. Boy retired from Pfizer at the beginning of July 2018 and is happy to be returning to her veterinary medicine roots!
